rackhackers was created to serve the cause of local creative reuse. We designed a DIY bike pannier made from recycled materials and created all the support you need to make your own.

We tried to figure out a Cannier design that would have all the characteristics of a great DIY pannier and created one that is also easy to make. In our tutorial section you will find all the info you need to produce it at home.

We have committed to only using parts that are accessible in hardware stores, or at least exchangeable with standard accessible hardware parts. We still recommend ordering your parts package from us because:

*You will receive parts we have tested in real life, to make sure they would hold.

*You will save days running around town trying to find the right parts. We know from experience how these local sourcing trips get extended.
